John is simply a climbing legend, his passion for teaching and coaching speaks for it self. John is an amazing mentor, colleague and friend. John is an excellent coach who has a passion for climbing, he has a wealth of knowledge for both indoor and outdoor disciplines. John has supported both me and my son Lukas from the very beginning of our journey as complete novices. He took my son Lukas on at 6 years old, from a raw young man with potential to a national competitor in both roped climbing and bouldering. I have been having coaching for my climbing from John for about five years now and I couldn't recommend him more! His friendly and knowledgeable coaching style makes you feel both supported and encouraged to push yourself in your climbing and the results have been brilliant, both grades and confidence wise. Amazing coach, would highly recommend. John supported me on my journey from a indoor climbing instructor to achieving my Rock Climbing Instructor (RCI) so I can now take groups outside climbing on single pitch crags. John took me out and within a day  taught me how to place trad gear and had me leading trad routes by the end of the day.  He not only teaches you what you need to do but the reason behind it so you have a greater understanding of why your doing it which helped in the long run.
